During the time my sons attended Culver Academies, they were fortunate enough to have travelled to Croatia with Ms. Jasenka Štefanić as part of the Spring Break in Missions Trips. As the adult coordinator/chaperone, Ms. Štefanić accompanied the group and enabled them all to enjoy a much more in-depth experience of Croatian life and culture because of her own Croatian roots. Her attentiveness to detail and her dedication to making sure each and every student had a great travel experience, allowed me, as a parent, to feel very comfortable having my children under her supervision. They returned with a love of Croatia and a taste of wanderlust that will last for a lifetime!

We wanted our daughter to experience volunteer work and picked Croatia among several other trips in the program. It was clearly the right choice. Tailored for high-school students, the experience was character-building, making our daughter a more appreciative and compassionate person. She was having so much fun on the trip she only realized later how this experience changed her for the better. The trip was rewarding on every level, and absolutely worth the money.

Our two sons, Ashley & Caleb Brooks, traveled with Mrs. Stefanic to Croatia on a Culver Academies Mission Trip in the spring of 2010. They had the most incredible experience thanks to Mrs. Stefanic’s enthusiasm, preparation, knowledge and love of Croatia. They were exposed to many cultural aspects and left Croatia with a deep desire to one day return. We continue to be grateful to Mrs. Stefanic’s for providing our boys with such a remarkable and memorable experience. She is beloved in our community by all.
